ABOUT THE HEIGHTS NEIGHBOURHOOD ASSOCIATION
WHO ARE WE?
The Heights Neighbourhood Association (HNA) is a non-profit society under the British Columbia Society Act. Previously known as The Gilmore Community Association the name was changed in March 1995 to better describe the Society, whose interests had expanded into other community concerns while remaining involved with many Gilmore School programs.
WHO DO WE SERVE?
The HNA serves the residents and property owners in Burnaby Heights; the area covered from Boundary Road in the west to Beta Avenue in the east and north to south from Burrard Inlet to Francis Street.
MISSION STATEMENT
The association is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life in Burnaby Heights.
OBJECTIVE
To promote the cultural, recreational, environmental and education endeavours of the Heights Neighbourhood.
HOW?
Through the support of Gilmore Community School; participation and/or support of the community events such as Hat's Off Day, Sunfest, the Trans Canada Trail, the Community Gardens, Heritage Tours and Neighbourhood Greening. Residents concerns about traffic, transit, law and order, local policing and other matters of interest are dealt with according to need for a community voice.
